RAHMA GAMBIA DONATES D0.5 MILLION WORTH OF EQUIPMENT TO EFSTH
Rahma Gambia Limited on Friday donated approximately half-a-million dalasis worth of crucial office, electronic & medical equipment to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital as a contribution to the ongoing response against the COVID19 Pandemic in The Gambia.
The Chief Executive Officer of Rahma Gambia, Mr. Alasan Gent Ceesay presented the items at a brief ceremony at the premises of the main referral hospital of the country. Rahma is one of the few Gambian owned companies engaged in the importation of food commodities and essential goods in the country.
‘’As a Gambian, I strongly feel that only Gambians can move this country to the next level’’, CEO Ceesay said, stressing that he finds a lot of joy in giving back to his community.
‘’I believe that any contribution to the progress and advancement of the country’s health care is a social investment into our own health and wellbeing because the next person who could be needing it might be me, my family members or even you’’.
Mr. Ceesay added that the donation is in line with the company’s philosophy of providing the best possible quality of goods and giving back generously to the communities we serve.
The items donated include computers, drug fridges, projectors, printer/scanners, among other office and stationery equipment.
The Deputy Chief Medical Director of the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital, Prof. Ousman Nyang, supported by his senior management and medical teams, were present to receive the equipment. The hospital officials expressed gratitude for the gesture and described it as timely, giving the current response against the COVID19 pandemic.
