Born in Kombo Sanyang in 1993, Moses Sanna Bass grew up in Kombo Gunjur where his academic journey began. At age 17, he left Gunjur for Bundung in the Kanifing Municipality Area to attend Nusrat Senior Secondary School from 2010 to 2013.
He subsequently attended the University of The Gambia (UTG) from 2013 to 2017.
At university, he studied law and during the third year of his legal scholarship, he started teaching Government and History subjects at Nusrat.
Upon graduation at UTG with a bachelor’s degree in law in 2017, he was granted a scholarship the following year to attend the Pan African University Institute for Water and Energy Sciences (PAUWES) located in Tlemcen, Algeria.
PAUWES is one of the four educational initiatives of the African Union Commission dealing with key areas that are crucial for the development of Africa and the attainment of the African vision 2063.
As a recent graduate with a master’s degree in energy Policy, Sanna’s research interest is focused on energy-water-food nexus and technology sustainability.
