United Democratic Party leader, Ousainou Darboe, has refused to be drawn on charges he is responsible for the disintegration of the political coalition that saw the defenestration of Jammeh regime at the polls in 2016.
The allegation was made by Sidia Jatta in an exclusive interview with Fatu Network who also revealed he was told by Adama Barrow Lawyer Darboe demanded to be made foreign minister.
In an interview with Pa Modou Bojang of Mengbekereng, Darboe declined to respond while offering a caustic commentary on Sidia and his socialist party PDOIS.
“I don’t want to respond to him and what he said because I despise him. There was a time I used to resoect him. But for him to say things about me that are not true, I have ceased to hold him at high esteem.
He knows that Kemeseng Jammeh and I are not crude people. I respect him for his age. I never thought anyone who is educated knowledgeable would think I had the power to dictate the president’s appointments. I will not give his accusations the dignity of a reply because I despise him”.
