The current National Assembly Member for Kombo South and Majority Leader, Hon. Kebba K. Barrow has won the nomination as candidate for the United Democratic Party for the forthcoming National Assembly elections, slated for April 9 2022.
The revelation was contained in a press release from Hon. Kebba K. Barrow. He will seek re-election as NAM for the Kombo South Constituency which he has represented for last five years. Hon. Barrow won with the biggest margin in Kombo South last time and hopes to repeat the same on the 9th April elections.
Gambians will go to the polls again on April 9th to elect lawmakers for the next five years.
If the December 4th Presidential elections are anything to go by, the parliamentary election will be more of a contest between the NPP of President Adama Barrow and Hon. Ousainou Darboeโs main opposition UDP.
Reacting to his confirmation as the nomination candidate, Hon. Barrow thanked his supporters, the constituency executive committee and assured his electorates of his continued focus on "meaningful development interventions in the areas of education, skills development, health, agriculture, environment, youth and women empowerment."
