APS, a U.K. based international money transfer firm has boosted the maternity wards of the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) in Banjul (formerly called RVTH) and the Kanifing General Hospital maternity wards.
At a ceremony held at the EFSTH in Banjul on Wednesday 29th September 2021, valuable medical items and equipment were handed over to the Ministry of Health. The donated items will help contribute to the health and well-being of mothers and their babies during maternal care.
Commenting on the medical items handed to the two health facilities, the Birmingham based company said:
“The management and staff of APS Money Transfer would like to register our sincere thanks and appreciation to our valued and loyal customers who have made this possible.
Furthermore, our support to the health sector will be extended further to other maternity wards across the country through our campaign called “Support Your Local Maternity Wards in The Gambia”. This additional campaign will be launched this month, in collaboration with you as a way of giving back to our local health facilities across The Gambia where access to quality medical care is still a challenge.”
APS which is founded by Mr Lamin SANNEH, is headquartered in Birmingham, United Kingdom with branches in America and Europe.
