The Gunjur central cemetery recently benefited from Solar powered lighting system through the generosity of Solar Enterprises Limited of Gunjur born Ousman Barrow, alias Sir Ous.
The Solar company collaborated with Gunjur ward Development committee to install 4 SOLAR lighting systems at the Cemetery. The lights were installed at no cost to the community much to the delight of the Gunjur Ward Councillor Momodou Charreh Gibba.
Mr Gibba wrote: “ Pls join me and the community of Dabanani to thank the CEO of SOLAR ENTERPRISES Mr. Ousman Barrow and the company in general for a generous contribution. This beautiful project is generously donated to the community at zero cost. ABSOLUTELY FREE. YSB set the pace and SOLAR ENTERPRISES followed swiftly. Let us pray together, and beg the Almighty to reward them abundantly. On behalf of the Alkali, Council of elders, VDC and the whole community wish to thank YSB and SOLAR ENTERPRISES..Alabaraka, , alning bara”
Young Soccer Brothers, widely known as YSB took the initial step in electrifying the Gunjur Cemetery by installing a NAWEC electric pole at the cemetery a few weeks ago. The electrification of the central cemetery is a welcome development as it will provide the much needed lighting for burial services that are performed at night and in the dark with only torch lights being the only source of lighting when deceased are buried.
