Gambia introduces $20 Immegration and Security System levy on air passengers

#REVEALED: Gambia has introduced a $20 Immegration and Security System levy on all arriving and departing passengers with effect from 1st September.

Arriving and departing passengers will now pay $20 Immegration and Security System Levy

With immediate effect, arriving and departing passengers at the Banjul International Airport will be required to pay an “Immegration and Security System levy“ as the country prepares for the opening of the 2020/21 tourist season.


In a memo from the Director General of The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority, airlines and operators are urged to bring this new development to the attention of their passengers.


Collection boots have already been erected at the airport to manually collect the $20 levy from all passengers using the Banjul International Airport. The directive is effective immediately.
