Former Army General vows to oust Barrow

By Sainey Darboe:

Former Gambia National Army General and

deputy head of diplomatic mission to Russia, Lamin Bojang, has issued chilling warning of the impending defenestration of Barrow regime in 2021 polls.

Speaking in a Paradise TV exclusive following his choice as candidate for Gambia Action Party (GAP), Bojang enunciated:

“I want everybody to understand Musa Yalli Batchilly is a very honorable person. He is a very honest and trusted person. He is concerned like everyone of us and that’s why he registered an entity that will be there to address the needs of Gambian people.

It’s with the expectation that when I lead this party I will lead them to victory Inshallah. It’s expected that if we do our home work and strategize we can lead this party to victory in 2021”.

The former army top-brass further conceded the announcement had come as a ‘shock’ and ‘surprise’ to him which he was compelled to accept after consultation with family, friends and advisers.

Said Bojang:

“I haven’t taken any moves. It’s something that was imposed on me. It’s not something I calculated to do. In our local language it’s said ‘a good thing is never returned’.

It’s a difficult thing and I am ready to risk anything that comes with it. I am a member of this government and I am unconditionally loyal to this government. I have done everything from the beginning to the end to make sure this government succeeds. So, I will not be an impediment to this government”.

Outlining his policy thrust as leader of GAP, Lamin Bojang pledged to initiate reforms across energy, education, agriculture and security sectors, among others.
