Representatives of the Coalition for Change - Gambia (CCG) will be heading to Sharm el Sheik, Egypt, next week to attend the ongoing 64th ordinary session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
The Gambia, Egypt and Lesotho are scheduled to submit their human rights reports at the event.
With support from the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) and its consortium partners in the PANAF Project, CCG’s Dr. Amadou Scattred Janneh is expected to submit a parallel human rights report on The Gambia. This will be followed in the coming weeks by post-session events in The Gambia.
Dr. Janneh is the coordinator of CCG and teaches political science and international studies at Georgia Southern University.
