As WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic, countries around the world are taking measures to stem the spread of the Coronavirus amid exponential increases in the number of infections.
The English Premier league is suspended following similar actions by the European football governing body UEFA.
Meanwhile, Gabon, Kenya and Ghana have all reported first cases of the virus as it makes its way around the globe.
However, there are no known reported cases of the Coronavirus in The Gambia, albeit five reported cases in neighbouring Senegal.
On Tuesday, Gambian health ministry assured Gambians of the level of preparedness on the country in responding to the spread of the Coronavirus as follows:
“#Gambia #COVID19 Preparedness and Response Plan finalised and the country would need about USD 8million to fully implement the plan. Hon.
