The lodge which has been operating in the area for over two decades shut its doors as the COVID-19 continue to cause havoc worldwide.
Although no cases of the Coronavirus has been officially announced in the country, fears continue as neighbouring country, Senegal have had more than ten confirmed cases of the deadly virus. It is highly likely that there are people who may be infected in the country who haven’t yet shown any signs of the virus or have not yet been tasted.
Announcing the closure, Gunjur Project said:
“Gunjur Project Lodge and Gunjur Project community hub is closed to the general public. We will constantly review the situation and update accordingly. Please do not visit the project without prior arrangement. For more info call Jenny 3145757 or Alagi 9922674”
