Alieu Jallow, a Gambian-American and native of Kombo Siffoe who is a product of Gunjur Secondary School has just graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Economics from Lakeland University, Wisconsin.
Mr. Jallow started his educational journey at Siffoe Primary School before proceeding to Gunjur Secondary and Muslim High School where he bagged his high school Diploma. Jallow’s thirst for knowledge would drive him to study Banking and Finance at Management Development Institute after which he bagged a job with Trust Bank Limited.
Almost nine years ago, Alieu immigrated to the United States of America in pursuit of higher education and of course the American dream. Badara Jr, as fondly called by his friends first enrolled at Madison Area Technical College where he graduated with an Associate Degree in Accounting.
With all his social, educational, and family commitments, Alieu has always had a passion for community services. In 2013, he enlisted in the United States Army and successfully completed a Basic Combat Training BCT at Ft Sill Oklahoma. During his six years of service to the nation and to the state of Wisconsin in particular, Jallow has served this great institution with dedication, commitment, and integrity for six years.
When contacted by Gunjur News Online about his desire for academic excellence and the advice for young people wanting to venture into accountancy, he has this to say; “ I have always find Accounting easier for me, and for the young people out there always be committed, determined and stay focus on your goals. It might take you a while to get the end result but with the right mindset anything is possible”.
