A member of the Swedish parliament, Malcolm Momodou Jallow, earlier today visited Gunjur where he held meetings with Gunjur Development Association(GDA). An Executive member of Gunjur Development Association, Omar Darboe reported of the engagements with the Swedish law maker:

“A very blessed Day today to have Benny EK- Williamsson a Political Rights Activist and Malcolm Momodou Jallow a Swedish Member of Paliament in Gunjur Kombo South who had a great meeting with Gunjur Development Association( GDA) about the progress being made by GDA, challenges and way forward. The meeting was held at Gunjur Project and a site visit to Bolong Fenyo Community Wildlife Reserve at Gunjur”. The sprawling coastal town of Gunjur has been at the center of a legal battle with the Chinese company Golden Lead which stands accused of environmental damage.
